Michelle Carlino, DVM, DABT

Associate Veterinarian, Clinical Toxicology

I have always loved animals and knew I wanted to work with animals from a young age. After interning at the Shedd Aquarium, Brookfield Zoo, and working in veterinary clinics, I decided to go to vet school and attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2014. After graduation I worked in general practice and at an in-home hospice care and euthanasia organization before finding my way into veterinary toxicology in 2016. I have worked in toxicology ever since and absolutely love it.

I currently have 3 dogs (Sarge, Punchki, and Betty) and 4 cats (Sheldon, Stu, Langston, and Jethro) who keep me very busy. Sarge is a therapy dog and does visits at a juvenile detention center. Punchki and Betty are insane and keep me on my toes. When not at work, I love reading, kayaking, hiking, cooking, and spending time with my family.
