Hello! My name is Morgan Underwood. I am a Certified Veterinary Technician and Veterinary Information Specialist II here at SafetyCall International (SCI)! I started my career at SafetyCall in June of 2021. Like many technicians working in the clinical setting, I was feeling the effects of burnout and found myself looking for a different career opportunity where I could still use my veterinary education and experience. After a Google search for “vet tech jobs from home”, I came across the position at SCI and I am so glad that I did!

This career opportunity has been incredibly interesting and rewarding! I love being able to help people and their pets – whether it be saving them a trip to the emergency clinic or giving them the recommendation to seek veterinary care. Being able to help pet owners outside of the clinic setting is so fulfilling, especially when they express their gratitude for your help. I finish each shift knowing that I made a difference in the lives of pets and the people who love them.

I love to learn, like I know so many of us do! In my time here, I have learned so many interesting things through the extensive training provided, internal presentations, and managing individual cases. Each case is unique and requires medical, math, and problem-solving skills. Some cases are more challenging than others, but you are never alone in trying to find the answer – there is a fantastic support system of knowledgeable people and numerous resources to help you find the best solution.

Taking the leap to try something totally different was one of the best choices I have ever made and I love what I do here at SafetyCall!
