Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Alissa Gallagher started at Pet Poison Helpline® (PPH) in 2021. She graduated with a BS in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Mississippi State University. After graduation, she completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Charlotte and an internship in small animal surgery at Georgia Veterinary Specialists. She then moved to Florida before returning home to Charlotte where she practiced emergency medicine for 11.5 years. Dr. Gallagher lives in upstate South Carolina with her cats, Kona, Penguin, Buffett, and Mac, and dog, Si.
