Consulting Veterinarian, Clinical Toxicology
Dr. Holly Hommerding has been with Pet Poison Helpline® since 2014. Originally from central Minnesota, Holly received her BS and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Hommerding became a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology (ABT) and a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Toxicology (ABVT) in 2018 and 2022, respectively. Holly had enjoyed a fulfilling early career working in small animal general practice in the Twin Cities metropolitan area through 2016, but her love for toxicology was impetus to continue on a professional course in clinical toxicology with Pet Poison Helpline®. She now lives in the Twin Cities metro area with her comical golden retrievers Nutmeg (Meg) and Dandelion, her strong-willed cat Miriam, and her geriatric cockatiel Frankie.
