Dr. Holly Hommerding has been with Pet Poison Helpline since 2014. Originally from central Minnesota, Holly received her BS and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from the University of Minnesota. In 2018, Dr. Hommerding became a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology (ABT). Holly had enjoyed a fulfilling early career working in small animal general practice in the Twin Cities metropolitan area through 2016, but her love for toxicology was impetus to continue Pet Poison Helpline on a full-time basis. She now lives in the Twin Cities metro area with her comical golden retriever Nutmeg (Meg), her strong-willed cat Miriam, and her geriatric cockatiel Frankie.
