Consulting Veterinarian

Dr. Meredith Sammons has been with Pet Poison Helpline since 2017.  She received her BS in Chemistry from Emory University and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from University of Georgia.  After veterinary school, Dr. Sammons completed a 1 year rotating small animal medicine, surgery, and emergency internship in Nashville, TN.  After her internship she worked as an emergency medicine veterinarian in North Carolina for 11 years.  She resides in North Carolina with her husband, two children, two dogs, and a cat.
