Pet Poison Helpline®’s Continuous Growth of American Board of Veterinary Toxicology (ABVT) Diplomates

SafetyCall International and Pet Poison Helpline® are pleased to announce that we are now home to five Diplomates of the American Board of Veterinary Toxicology (ABVT). The most recent Diplomate from SafetyCall is Dr. Charlotte Flint, a Senior Veterinary Toxicologist, Clinical Toxicology. These five women have continuously exemplified the hard work and dedication that keeps SafetyCall staffed with industry leading experts in veterinary toxicology.

ABVT is an internationally recognized certifying body for veterinarians demonstrating knowledge and expertise in many aspects of toxicology. Established in 1967, the ABVT is one of 22 specialty organizations recognized by the American Veterinary Medical Association and was the first professional organization to provide certification in the field of toxicology. The 100+ Diplomates that represent this organization are required to complete extensive training along with the passage of a 4-part examination.

In addition to becoming Diplomates, Drs. Ahna Brutlag and Sherry Ripple (Welch) have been elected as ABVT’s President-Elect and Treasurer for the years 2020-2022. Dr. Brutlag will assume the President role in August of 2022. With the dedication and extensive knowledge of our five Diplomates and the rest of our incredible staff, Pet Poison Helpline® is accomplishing our mission by making the world a safer place for animals.
