Toxicity to pets
Corticosteroids come in several forms for both human and animal use. Overdose of oral and topical forms may lead to gastrointestinal distress (e.g., vomiting, diarrhea) and excessive thirst with increased urination. Pets are at risk for more significant gastrointestinal issues including stomach ulceraction if the overdose occurs in an unhealthy pet.
