Toxicity to pets
Gasoline ingestion by pets can result in gastrointestinal distress with drooling and vomiting. Gasoline may enter the airway during ingestion is high leading to chemical-induced lung inflammation (i.e., chemical pneumonitis). Lips, muzzle, coat, and paw contact with gasoline causes irritation and discomfort to pets with signs of skin redness, face rubbing or paw twitching.
