Toxicity to pets
Foliage, bark and berries of Daphne contain irritant toxins. Ocular or oral contact with this plant leads to blistering, redness, and swelling of eyes, mouth, or stomach/intestines. Vomiting and diarrhea – sometimes with blood – may also occur. Daphne is toxic to companion animals (dogs and cats) and livestock.
