Michelle Carlino, DVM, DABT, DABVT

Veterinary Toxicologist

Dr. Michelle Carlino always loved animals and knew she wanted to work with them from a young age. After interning at the Shedd Aquarium, Brookfield Zoo, and working in veterinary clinics, she attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2014. After graduation she worked in general practice and at an in-home hospice care and euthanasia organization before finding her way into veterinary toxicology in 2016. She has worked in toxicology ever since and absolutely loves it.

She lives in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, and she currently has 2 dogs (Punchki and Betty) and 2 cats (Langston, and Jethro) who keep her busy. When not at work, she loves reading, kayaking, hiking, cooking, crafting (making candles and painting), and spending time with her friends and family.

There are several reasons why she loves her job here at PPH. She loves seeing all of the crazy things that dogs get into. She enjoys interacting with her coworkers and all of the clinics calling in. Lastly, she loves the fact that we get to help so many animals.
