Toxicity to pets

Herbicides, also known as weed killers, are a group of products with a common goal of killing vegetation. Pets may have variable clinical signs after exposure to an herbicide which are dependent upon the specific chemical ingested or contacted and the concentration of that chemical. Common clinical signs involve gastrointestinal upset. Individual herbicides may cause severe signs following ingestion including organ injury (e.g. kidney, lung) and death. Eye injury may occur following eye contact with specific herbicides.
