Toxicity to pets

Kaffir Lily contains lycorine, an alkaloid toxin, within all part of the plant. Ingestion by companion animals results in gastrointestinal distress with vomiting, drooling, and retching. Ingestion of large amounts of plant including bulbs may lead to cardiovascular signs of low blood pressure, heart rhythm disturbance and weakness plus nervous system signs of seizure. This lily does NOT cause kidney injury in cats.
